Glumtree.
A second-hand find and a rather familiar conversation.

Glumtree is a classifieds experience with browsing, seller chat and your own pretend adverts. Open an ad to inspect the item, or explore how posting something changes the listings around the same local profile.

Free to play in your browser. JavaScript is needed for the PC; this guide works without it.

Start with a listing and a conversation

The item page and simulated seller exchange are part of the second-hand-shopping ritual. Read the posting and available choices before deciding what to do next.

Your adverts stay in the game

The Sell and My ads views let you explore the other side of the marketplace. Adverts, chats and item purchases are local fiction. They do not publish a real listing or send your details to another person.

Try a specific stop

These shortcuts open the actual department or page inside Empty, so you can try the parts described above.

Before you switch on

Glumtree is an original parody, not affiliated with or endorsed by Gumtree. The game uses imaginary money and fictional checkout details. No real purchase is made.
